Alternative Energy Sources and Their Impact on Climate Change
By now, the effect that our dependence on fossil fuels has on the earth is indubitable. There are large scale efforts to shift society’s direction into alternative energy sources, with the release of teslas, hybrids, and solar panel roofs. We wish to explore this connection to climate change in which we now must take on an attitude of damage control and future prevention. This is a highly modern topic and is important in preserving the state of the planet.
As a school who, by 2020, will be integrating iPads into the academic curriculum on a large scale, it is important to address the benefits and disadvantages of this increased use of technology in the classroom. We would like to invite speakers who would be able to warn against the ways in which technology in the classroom can go wrong along with enlightening us about the ways in which technology may be imperative in our progression as a society.
Use of Technology in Education
Body Image
Along the same lines of health, there also stands the issue of body image which attacks the most vulnerable demographic of teenagers. We would like to have speakers reveal the flaws in media portrayals of public figures and emphasize an objective importance of the positive perception of one’s own body image.
Youth Involvement in the Community
In a politically controversial time period, it is important to discuss the youth’s role in choosing out political future. It would be interesting to see speakers discuss the predicted effects of today’s youth voting, the political ideologies of today’s youth and how today’s youth could have affected past events. We would also like to see speakers empower students of their individual influence on local and large scale politics.

European schooling has been proven to house the best education in the world. We would like to explore what makes European schooling better than schooling around the world, even superpowers, such as America. Whilst targeting the youth, we must address the institution in which they spend a majority of their teen lives and would like to dig into the ways in which educational institutions+ around the world lack and gain.
